What is Autosave & Resume in Multiplayer?

Autosave & Resume is a feature that allows you to save your multiplayer flight and continue it later.

When certain conditions are met during a flight, the game will automatically save your progress. You can then resume the flight within a limited time directly from the multiplayer menu.

How does Autosave work?

During a multiplayer flight, a new Autosave tab appears in the multiplayer menu.

The feature becomes active once all required conditions are met. These conditions are shown using colors:

  • Green – condition is satisfied

  • Red – condition is not satisfied

Once active:

- Your flight is automatically saved every 10 minutes;
- A notification will appear on screen after each successful save;
- The session is also saved when exiting the flight (if conditions are met).

How do I resume an already saved flight?

If you have a saved flight, a Resume button will appear in the multiplayer server selection screen. Selecting it will show details of your saved flight (map, aircraft, status). To rejoin the server and continue the flight, just tap Resume.

Please note that saved flights are available for up to 48 hours. After that, they are automatically removed.

What happens if I start a new flight?

If you already have a saved flight, starting a new flight will display a warning. If you continue, the saved flight will be permanently cancelled.

What conditions are required for Autosave?

Autosave becomes active only when all of those conditions are met:

Altitude (MSL)

  • Piston aircraft: above 7000 ft.

  • Turboprop: above 10000 ft.

  • Jet (turbofan): above 15000 ft.

Flight plan eligibility

  • Most flight plans are valid.

  • Very long routes (around 300+ waypoints or complex multi-leg flights) may not qualify.

Leveled flight

  • Vertical speed must be between -500 and +500.

Event time (if applicable, only in events)

  • Enough time must remain before the event ends.

How do I know I have a saved flight?

You will see a small airplane icon near the multiplayer section with color indications:

    • Yellow – flight ready to resume

    • Red – less than 2 hours left to resume

You can also enable notifications to be warned before a saved flight expires.

Can I resume a flight on another device?

Unfortunately no. Saved multiplayer flights can only be resumed on the same device where they were created. If you're playing on multiple devices, please be aware of that.

What happens if I disconnect or the app crashes?

Good news! The flight can still be saved, even after disconnection. If autosave has been triggered at least once, you can resume the flight from that moment. You can also reconnect to the server by resuming the saved session.

Does Autosave affect Flight Points?

Not at all! Flight Points are calculated normally at the end of the flight based on the distance flown and other factors, if applicable (for example, event bonuses).

Are there any penalties when resuming?

Yes, in some cases. If you resume after a crash on the ground, a -5% Flight Points penalty will be applied.

How does Autosave work with multi-leg flights?

It works pretty much the same as with single flights, but only while airborne.

Ending a leg on the ground grants earned Flight Points; however, it does not save the flight for resume.
