Hello, Anglers!

Happy holidays and the tightest lines from Fishing Clash and myself! As the end of the year draws near, it is a great time to reflect on our progress and look forward to Fishing Clash in 2022. We are excited to celebrate the holiday season with you through plenty of fun and exciting content, as one of our existing fisheries goes on holiday to the festive town of Hallstatt. We hope you enjoy celebrating with us, with fun events and rewards to earn. Let us jump into some of the updates.

Matchmaking Update

We continue to work on matchmaking, and want to improve this part of the game as soon as possible. There is a lot to consider when improving matchmaking, like lures, rods, licenses, and the skill tree, and our goal is clear: to create a matchmaking system that is engaging and balanced.

Positano and Recent Events

We were excited to take you to the beautiful Mediterranean Positano village that you chose. We took all the Yelapa-related feedback on board for this content and tried to make this new fishery experience much fairer and more enjoyable. We carefully read all the feedback you send us, and we want to keep learning and improving. We also got lots of feedback on specific events you felt were unachievable. That’s why we have been trying new events, such as "River Delta", which would allow all of you to reach the black box. While we saw a much larger number of Anglers complete the event, we got more invaluable feedback on it, and we know we can do much better, so we will make sure that new and exciting events are coming your way.

Quality of Life

It is vital that we listen to you, and work together to improve the game. We know that Sonar players sometimes accidentally skip larger fish. To help out, we have updated the Sonar Power-Up. You can now activate this mode in your settings. Try it out and let us know what you think! We have also updated the profanity filter to provide a better social experience. Additionally, we are releasing a fix for players who have difficulties entering the game, an error caused by having too many rods.

Next Year

We are really excited about next year. We have a lot of ideas and plans to make Fishing Clash a better game, and while it is a bit early to share details, I promise you we are working hard to make the game even more fun and rewarding. We are listening to all the feedback we see on social media, both from surveys, and directly via comments and messages, so please keep it coming. Happy holidays to all our Anglers! We look forward to celebrating the festive period and the New Year with you all.
