After pressing the HUNT button, a player starts hunting with the selected lure card, activated power-ups, and purchased weapon features.

Three animals appear somewhere on the screen. The chosen lure increases the chance of certain animals appearing but does not guarantee you'll spot them.

Players can hunt down only one animal during a single hunt.
