Beast Hunt is a special game mode in which you must hunt down a beast charging toward you—before it hunts you.
It is only available in specific locations and varies slightly depending on the location.
Abandoned Zone
One of the locations where you can hunt beasts is the Abandoned Zone. Here you’ll encounter radioactive, bloodthirsty creatures.
To begin, tap the ☣ symbol at the bottom of the screen, right next to the shop.
You’ll see a window with three tabs on the left: Missions, Equipment, and Beasts.
The Missions tab contains, as you'd expect, missions where you need to complete various tasks—for example, defending your hunting dog from beasts. Missions have different difficulty levels, and some require upgraded equipment.
The Equipment tab contains the gear you’re currently using. You can upgrade it using special materials, which you can purchase through limited-time offers or win during events in the Abandoned Zone.
Note: such events occur occasionally, so if you’re short on materials, you’ll have to wait.
The final tab, Beasts, shows the creatures you’ve unlocked. A closed chest indicates that you haven’t unlocked that beast yet. In the center of the screen, you’ll also find a player leaderboard. To unlock beasts, complete successive missions.
Mammoth Steppe
Another location is the Mammoth Steppe, where you’ll encounter massive, prehistoric beasts.
To enter the Beast Hunt mode, look for the glowing cave with a campfire and tap it. You’ll see a menu with prehistoric paintings divided into 3 sections: Event, Equipment, and Arrowheads.
Event – in the Mammoth Steppe, beasts can only be unlocked during special events. This tab shows when such an event is active.
Equipment – here you’ll find your prehistoric gear, which you can upgrade using special materials. These materials can be earned by hunting animals in this location. To check which materials are needed to upgrade a specific item, simply tap it.
Arrowheads – these allow you to boost your stats even further, but you’ll need both materials and runes. Runes can be earned during special events in the Mammoth Steppe.
Himalayas
Beast Hunt is also available in the Himalayas, where you’ll face off against the Yeti Guardian.
Once you’ve hunted 75 animals in the Himalayas, you’ll unlock a button at the bottom of the screen, to the left of the Shop. Tap it to start your encounter with the Yeti. Keep in mind that the Yeti will try to dodge your shots! But if you manage to defeat it, you’ll receive special materials that can be exchanged for pins and other valuable rewards.
